Central to everything I do is encouraging a love of learning. I aim to build confidence and resilience through a positive and creative approach to education, from our calm, home-based work room.

Since starting teaching in Japan in 1998, I have been developing a wide range of strategies to help learners to unlock their potential.

I have worked with all ages, from Primary through to adult education. Having taught English as a foreign language in Japan, Italy, Lincoln College and in private language schools for 20 years, I have more recently worked in primary schools whilst my children were younger, before returning to Further Education. 

Through my current role as an English Lecturer at Boston College, I hold a current enhanced DBS, and I have also worked as a Learning Support Tutor, focusing on dyslexia support, resilience and essay writing skills- utilising my extensive experience of academic writing.
